Adamthwaite family
I hope to add remaining details of this branch of my ancestry within the next few months ... but if it is the Adamthwaites you are interested in you should find lots to keep you going at the Adamthwaite Archive! However, for the time being, please use the copy of the Adamthwaite website at http://adamthwaite.one-name.net/ as I am unable to make the necessary corrections to the main site - the entire site appears to have gone missing from my new web hosting company!
The ADAMTHWAITEs originally came from the old county of Westmorland (now Cumbria), but in the 1870s, my gt grandparents moved to County Durham where they raised their family in the mining village of Crook and Billy Row.
2nd generation - my grandmother Mary Isabella ADAMTHWAITE (see GREEN section for information about her husband James GREEN and his family)
3rd generation - my great grandparents - James ADAMTHWAITE and Ann CARTER
4th generation - my 2x great grandparents - William ADAMTHWAITE, Sarah MASON, Robert CARTER and Mary DOBSON
5th Generation - my 3x great grandparents - John ADAMTHWAITE, Hannah ROBINSON, George MASON, Barbara HUNTER (details of parents of Robert CARTER and his wife Mary DOBSON are still in preparation)
I plan to add details of more generations of ADAMTHWAITES in due course!
